MEMORY LANE

In 1998, the first Brown-Smith Family Reunion was held in Myrtle Beach, SC. There
were about 60 family members present for that first reunion and although many things
have changed throughout the years, the Brown-Smith Family still gathers together every July for fellowship, fun & feasting.

Over the years, we have kept many of the old
traditions and added some new ones. Take a moment to look around and learn about
the Brown-Smith Family Reunion.

After more than 70 years of practice, the Brown-Smith’s still serve some of the best food
around. The Reunion always starts Friday evening with a meet & greet, a chance to
relax and mingle with those you haven’t seen for the past year. Up next we have our
annual dinner which includes a moment of silence and a prayer for those gathered as
well as those no longer with us. Then it”s time to grab a plate and dig in! The day is
almost over, but a few more things need to be done. Elect a new reunion president,
pass the collection hat and start making plans for next year! On Sunday, it’s time to
relax, sit back and catch up with family and friends. How about a game of basketball,
spades, or maybe take on your cousins in a water-balloon fight?

The Brown-Smith Reunion is about family, but it”s more than that. It”s about making
memories and carrying on traditions. Make sure you head to Charleston to experience a
